B2 Tail Wag is a lumbar side-bend exercise with a small but important and movement component. The pleasant stretch is felt only when the rest of the body is stabilized.

Starting Position

  • Finish the previous exercise B1 Modified Cat at its low stretch position.

  • Lean on forearms.

  • Slightly raise pelvis from floor but maintain the neutral arch.

  • Avoid excessive lumbar lordosis and flaring of the ribs.

Movement

  • Side bend the pelvis from side to side.

  • Avoid spinal or pelvic rotation.

  • Avoid chest and head movement.

Perform 2-3 stretches to each side then proceed to exercise B3 Four Pillars.
